MRC The Crossings in League City, Texas
On June 9, 2021 I (Donna) drove to League City, Texas for the final Texas Dress a Girl sewing party. The community set me up in a beautiful room for the night and left me a sweet note and delicious snacks. The next morning several people helped me set up my stuff to begin. The food service people brought in homemade breakfast tacos with fresh pico de gallo, cups of fresh cut fruit, muffins, and juice and water. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in a five star hotel, and they treated me that way the entire trip. We had the most seamstresses and kit makers at this facility. These ladies put together about two hundred kits, sorted buttons, ironed straps, and marked pockets. At 11:15 they set up a delicious table of wraps, broccoli salad, homemade chips, and pretzel, M and M's, and nuts snacks for our lunch. Then about 1:00 they brought everyone a milk shake. It was a glorious day.
