The Altrusa organization in Portales donated about 30 yards of cotton fabric for us to make dresses. We plan to show the process from fabric to distribution with photos. We were able to cut out 35 dresses with that batch of material. Then the cut out dress was placed in a plastic bag with all of the items necessary for completing the dress: tag, pockets, elastic, and binding. These "kits" will be used when we have our sewing parties by volunteers to make the dresses.
